Double Lollipop Birthday

These cards was made for a couple of Sofies friends for their joint
birthday party. Again, I just love this way of making cards.
So fast, fun, special, and a great way to spend some of that
left over paper I always have all over my scrap room.

Both cards are made from Maja Papers (and Magnolia pacaging paper),
doilies, and layers of dies. I embellished with lace and ribbons,
and a pearls string. Both cards have two butterfly charms.

Just love those small charms (see the little, pink one?)!
The numbers are alfas from American Crafts.

I add some cardboard under each layer, to make it pop out a bit more,
as I dont have 3d-tape. I also make the cards double, with two doilies,
and wrap a ribbon or something around between the doilies to hide the straws inside.

Lollipop Card

Suddently, there was a lot of cards that I needed to make.
Often I have just let my six year old draw a card instead,
but I agreed to make a Confirmation Card for a friend,
and then I think my head was back in the came a bit.
Yesterday was my sister in law's birthday,
and inspired by a scrap magazine I just bought,
I spontaniously made her this lollipop card.
It was so simple, quick and fun to make,
with such a cute outcome, so I made two more today
for Sofie to bring to a double birthday she is invited to.
I'll show those later this week.

What a great way to use left over pieces of paper!
I made mine double, with identical backs,
just wrote a small greeting. I used cardboard
between layers to get more of a pop-up effect, and I added
pompoms between the doilies to hide the straws.
Some ribbon (all from Ribbon Girl), string, charms, a button,
a few flowers and pearls, numbers,
and we're good to go!

Blue Baby Love

Yeah, I'm still alive. And as promised, I will post whenever
I make something. I just make a lot less now, since I am working
so much and have less energy to be creative. I am even late
with my daughters birthday card, but I have started.
When summer comes, hopefully I'll get my scrap mojo back
in time for my long teachers vacation. And who knows,
perhaps I'll be working less later on...? ;)

This card I made for a friend from work who got her first child,
a little boy called Sigurd (very Norwegian!).

I played a lot with some new dies and papers from Maja Design.

I got a label maker for Christmas, my bestie pays attention!

The image was colored with Distress Reinkers.
I added lots of Star Dust Stickles, and lots of Frantage.
The letters are covered with Crackle Accents.

Lots of lace, prima flowers, roses, doilies, fans and crown needles,
cloth and pearl stamens.
